En Route to My First Bridal Market!

En route! ✈️🌴 ⠀ ⠀ Boss Ladies, I am off to my first ever bridal market, and I am seriously freaking out! ⠀ ⠀ Enzoani and Badgley Mischka Bride are my absolute favorite wedding dress designers in the world, and I am getting to go to Cancun — with my bosses and manager — to pick out gowns for the next season and attend events. ⠀ ⠀ All because I love to sell their gowns, and we won a sales contest within the company. ⠀ ⠀ Needless to say, I feel like I am on cloud nine and I just can’t believe I am in this season of my life right now. Which has left me reminiscing about the very first moments I spent in a bridal shop. ⠀ ⠀ There was a time when my past manager and mentor Shae, was explaining what “Enzoani” was, and how to spell it. ⠀ ⠀ At the time I had pronounced it “Enzo-Ah-nee” and Shae clutched her chest as if I had committed and unforgettable sin. 😂 (It’s pronounced Enz-Oh-nee) ⠀ ⠀ I knew nothing, I was naive, meek, and I was so scared of everything. I truly don’t know how or why I decided to learn and build these very niche skills and work so hard for an industry that I knew absolutely nothing about. ⠀ ⠀ But I did, and I stuck it out for nearly 5 years, working full time, working for free, then working at a lower wage, putting myself through trainings on top of going to school, and just trying to be the best I could possibly be at that point in my life. ⠀ ⠀ In that time I moved to the top of my sales field as a senior stylist, doubled my hourly wage, and I’m on a freaking plane landing in Cancun going to bridal market! 😭 ⠀ ⠀ I can’t help but feel so grateful towards that 19-year-old girl, for putting herself out there and working from truly the bottom - up so that I can experience these rewards now. ⠀ ⠀ I am nowhere near the point of getting to put my feet up, but these small wins definitely motivation to keep pushing forward. ⠀ ⠀ I’m excited to share this experience with all of you and I hope you have a win coming your way! ❤️ #FBL
