Growing Pains and Thriving

This photo was taken during one of the most insane, incredible experiences in my life! 😍 ⠀ ⠀ Not just because I was in Cancun at bridal market, even though obviously that was amazing, 😉 — no, it was because I was pushed far out of my comfort zone and I thrived. ⠀ ⠀ During this trip I was completely away from everyone that knew anything about me. (Aside from my bosses) Otherwise, I had no fiancé, no family, no group friends — no one to hide behind. ⠀ ⠀ Just me. ⠀ ⠀ Not to mention, I also felt like I really needed to prove that I belonged there, so there was even that added bit of pressure. ⠀ ⠀ Here’s why I think I broke out of my shell: ⠀ ⠀ • I felt more pressure to succeed in that element than I felt meek and shy.⠀ ⠀ • I had just a few chances to make an impact, there was no room for a warm up. Therefore I didn’t have time to psych myself out. ⠀ ⠀ • I didn’t have anyone to hide behind, forcing me to speak for myself and stand on the front line. ⠀ ⠀ • I was treated like a full-fledged adult and no one saw me as anything other than a professional, which gave me some serious Boss Lady energy. ⠀ ⠀ • I knew what I was talking about, and I had so much to talk about in that field. ⠀ ⠀ It was truly the first time I felt like a professional — not a college student — thriving in her career.⠀ ⠀ I felt alive, energetic, and excited. ⠀ ⠀ Tell me about the time you felt like this! I want to know all about it! #FBL
