High School to Now

Raise your hand if you’re the exact same person you were in high school! 🙋‍♀️ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ... yeah, me neither. 😅🙅‍♀️ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I’m not even the same person I was in college a year ago! ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ With graduation looming for many of our Boss Ladies, I wanted to talk about just how amazing life is after you receive that diploma. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ When I was in high school I was a gymnast, who worked out 4-5 hours a night 6 days a week. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ My life consisted of school, gymnastics, ABC Family TV shows, and the same friends I’d had since I was 8-years-old. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Everyone knew who I was, what I did, and I never stepped out of line. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ At the time I didn’t realize how suffocating this was, and I didn’t get a taste of real freedom until I moved to the big city the fall after graduation. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ When I moved to Phoenix I got the chance to discover a part of myself that was just for me. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I found out that I loved the wedding industry, and I’m actually really good at sales. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I realized that I wanted to be a CEO, and that there were other women like me with similar goals. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I discovered that I am the type of woman that loves making Easter baskets, and I throwing beautiful parties. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I made friends that only knew me as the woman I became and not the girl I’ve always been. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I created an entirely new life that I am so in love with. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Ladies, when I was in high school, I had absolutely no idea that the life I’m living right now was possible or even existed. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ When I was in college, I had no idea that I would publish a book and become a marketing coordinator for a business within a year. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Life changes so fast, and one decision can shift everything. There are opportunities and possibilities out there that you don’t even know about yet. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Take this time to celebrate, and be so exited for your future. ⠀ ⠀ Set the anxiety aside, stop worrying, and trust in your abilities. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Because you’re going to do something amazing with your life. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Comment a "YES" if you agree! #FBL ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Photo Credit: @saracumminsphotography
