I don’t really have the right to talking about truly working from home, since I’m still working for a business full-time. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ However, I can talk about working after you get home from work. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I’m really lucky to have something like Future Boss Lady that sets my soul on fire, and I truly enjoy working on it. Otherwise this process would be 10x harder than it already is. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Although, I’m not saying it doesn’t get hard. When you’re coming home from your day job after eight hours, only to work for another four to five, and then spending your days off working 10-hour days, it’s hard not to lose steam. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Especially when you’re not getting paid, receiving praise, and it feels like the work will never end. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I also run into problems like: ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ • Not spending enough time with my fiancé. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • Feeling like I’m missing out on things with my friends or social experiences. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • Feeling guilty whenever I want to take a night off and just watch a movie. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • Having to justify my work and protect my time. ⠀⠀ • Getting distracted by backed up house work, other side projects, and the temptation to just come home from work and relax every night. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ But don’t get me wrong, it not all just hustle and breakdowns, there are definitely some really beautiful things that come from it. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ • Having something to come home to that gets me inspired and excited. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • I’m never ever bored. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • Every single minute matters. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • I’m not defined by my day job position. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • I have something to look forward to. ⠀⠀ ⠀ • At the end of all of it, I created something that I can be proud of. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ What I’ve found from this whole experience is that there does need to be a balance, but you can’t be afraid of the work. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ At this time of your life, you work really really hard now, so that you can reap the benefits of it later. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ How do you work at home? When studying or otherwise? What helps you focus? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! #FBL⠀ ⠀ Photo Credit:
