So... I got a thing for wedding dresses. 😍⠀

⠀⠀ I started selling wedding dresses at 19-years-old, and have since become accustom to every fabric, silhouette, and color option associated with bridal gowns. ⠀⠀ To be honest, when I started I just thought it was all about dress-up and shiny things. ⠀⠀ I thought that every bride would be so happy and would love every dress, and it would be all smiles and good times. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I had no idea how much patience, knowledge, and work this role would require. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ That this job would teach me to be empathetic and kind, and well as calculated and emotionally tough. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ That I would need to have the stamina to not only work with back-to-back brides, but also ensure that each one of them gets a memorable and magical experience. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Or that I would need to know every detail about the entire gown ordering and alterations process beginning to end. ⠀ ⠀ But hey, that’s the job, and through being a consultant I have grown so much professionally. ⠀ ⠀ I never knew that a decision I made because I needed some spare cash and a summer job would become such a major career endeavor for me. ⠀ ⠀ That it would lead to some of the best relationships, important professional and life lessons, and inner confidence I never knew I had. ⠀ ⠀ All because there was something about bridal that peaked my interest. ⠀ ⠀⠀ So yeah, I guess I got a thing for wedding dresses. What is something that you have a thing for? What’s something that spikes your interest? ⠀⠀ Please share in the comments below! 👇 #FBL
