Personally speaking, I ate a lot over the past couple days, but while I was not only feeding my belly, I was feeding my soul. ⠀ ⠀ Last week wasn’t one of the greats, and I was splitting from the seems mentally. Feeling strained and exhausted. Not just from work and this chaotic stage of life, but it felt like my heart was hurting. ⠀ ⠀ For Thanksgiving Jared and I decided to spend three nights in Cottonwood. Hightailing it out of the city to get some real down to earth family time. ⠀ ⠀ Sitting on the passenger side of the truck, watching through the window as raindrops sprinkled the windshield, beside my favorite person, I felt the tension slowly release from my shoulders. ⠀ ⠀ We rolled into Cottonwood around midnight, and drove through Taco Bell because it was literally the only place open (city people probs). Then we sat at my childhood home kitchen counter with my little brother talking into the early morning hours. ⠀ ⠀ The rest of the holiday time was spent eating good food, hanging with the fam, wrapped up with local wine tasting. ⠀ ⠀ It was a MUCH needed break, and so nice to get some good quality time with some of my favorite people in the world. Leaving me feeling not only rested but invigorated. 🙌✨ ⠀ ⠀ Spending time with people I love is my soul food, what’s yours? Please share in the comments below!
