The 5 Most Embarrassing Things I Did my Freshman Year of College. 😳

Alright ladies, I’m throwing it way back for you to talk about the 5 most embarrassing things I did my freshman year of college. 😳 ⠀ ⠀ When I first started college I thought I was on top of the world, and SUCH an adult. Back then I was SO mature, SO organized, and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted for my life.... ⠀ ⠀ Boy was I so sadly WRONG. ⠀ ⠀ There are many lessons to be learned and hardships in that first year that we all have to go through — which can lead to choices that make us cringe later down the line. ⠀ ⠀ Here are 5 embarrassing things I did my freshman year of college: ⠀ ⠀ • I still used my email the whole year, and for my final presentation in a class I had to log in with that email on the projector in front of a whole lecture. ⠀ ⠀ • I read the entire 50 Shades of Grey series but I put a Catcher in the Rye cover over them so my roommate and peers wouldn’t judge me. 😂 I later learned that the kindle app is a thing. 😭 ⠀ ⠀ • (More like an embarrassing moment) Second day of the semester I was about to go hangout with my hall-mates in the corridor, and when I was standing at the door I heard my roommate talking about me... and it wasn’t nice. I snuck out of the building crying and called my boyfriend’s sister to pick me up. ⠀ ⠀ • I box-dyed my hair blonde and turned it pumpkin orange, then a cheap yellow color. Hence the filter. 😭 ⠀ ⠀ • I was volunteering for a wedding planner and she had told me about an event to be at. I made a note of it in my head and planned on being there but didn’t express this enough to my boss. The day before I called her to get the details of when and where to be, and she screamed at me, called me unprofessional, and hung up. This was after 6 months of trying to get on her good graces and doing 7 unpaid weddings for her. 😭😭😭 ⠀ ⠀ There were a LOT of lessons to be learned that year, and I know that was when I made a lot of changes for myself and my personal brand for the better. I just have to laugh off some of those first time embarrassing moments.
