Three Tips for Staying Motivated When You Really Don’t Feel Like Doing Anything 😅 ⠀

It’s that time of year, the weather’s getting chillier, it’s raining, you broke out the sweaters, and all you want to do is light up a candle and snuggle. ⠀ ⠀ Or at least that’s me the second September hits. ⠀ ⠀ HOWEVER there are things you need to get done girl! There are only four months left of 2019 and you have some big moves to make! ⠀ ⠀ Which is why I have come up with three ways to help you keep your head in the game and stay motivated. ⠀ ⠀ 1. Plan ahead - task, time, place. ⠀ ⠀ Don’t just throw some tasks down on your planner. Actually detail when and where you are going to work on things and when you’re set to get it done. ⠀ ⠀ For example: I’m going to write 500 words for my second book at the Starbucks by my apartment right after work. ⠀ ⠀ 2. Make it enticing. Paint a nice picture for yourself in your head. If I’m planning to go to Starbucks and write after work, I’m going to try to look forward to that all day and be excited for it. I’m going to think about the latte I’m going to drink, and the playlist, and the atmosphere. Really make it feel and seem like an exciting and fun thing to do. ⠀ ⠀ 3. Bribe yourself. Create some kind of reward that will motivate you to complete the ask. For me it would probably look like, “If you go write for an hour then you can go to Target and check out all of their new fall stuff.” ⠀ ⠀ You have so many goals to crush between now and December! Don’t let the season trick you into being too comfortable!
